This basket was a traditional 'pack basket' for donkeys, horses, mules, and people the island over. And who knows Fionn mac Cumhaill and his traveling band could have used this baskets in ancient times! Each participant will get to make at least one creel--starting off with the shoulder creel as pictured here and moving on to other styles if one wishes. This style of basket is as ancient as memory, with unique weaving patterns and techniques only found in this style of basket.
